# Upgrading from the PinnaPrison addon

PinnaGiveaways started as a PinnaPrison addon. It now runs on its own, and setups of the addon version keep working without edits:

* **Menus**: on the first start, the addon version's menus in `plugins/PinnaPrison/guis/<gui.folder>/` (`giveaways.yml`, `giveaway-sponsor.yml`, `giveaway-sponsor-confirm.yml`) are copied to `plugins/PinnaGiveaways/guis/`. The format is the same. The PinnaPrison copies can be deleted afterwards.
* **Data**: `data.yml` is read as it is (timers, last winners, hidden animations, the sponsor queue, payouts owed) and written in the new layout from then on.
* **Rewards**: `give-eco <currency> <amount>`, `console`, `message`, `sound`, `title`... keep working. `give-eco` now goes through PinnaGiveaways' own currencies: a PinnaPrison currency id that isn't listed under `currencies:` is found in PinnaPrison automatically.
* **Sponsoring**: `sponsor.currency` is now an id of `currencies:`. An old value such as `credits` that isn't listed is found in PinnaPrison (or EdPrison, EdTools, EdDungeons) automatically. The old `min-amount`, `max-amount` and `currency-name` are still used for any currency that has no `sponsor:` block of its own. Add the currency under `currencies:` to set its name, format, limits and tax there.
* **New keys** (numbers, currencies, storage, the reel layout and timeline, particles, winner title times...) use their defaults until you add them; copy them from the new default `config.yml` (rename yours, restart, compare).
* `item-click-cooldown` in menus is in seconds, like in PinnaPrison.
